Weekly Newsflash 8-28-23
Town Hall CLOSED for Labor Day
Please be advised that Town Hall, Administrative Police Department, Building Department, Post Office, and Library will be CLOSED for Labor Day on Monday, September 4th. There will still be garbage and recycling collection services.
Hurricane Preparedness
The Tropics are active and we are in the peak of hurricane season, so HAVE A PLAN & BE PREPARED! NOAA is forecasting a range of 12 to 17 total named storms (winds of 39 mph or higher). Regardless of predictions, it takes only one devastating storm to make it a “bad” hurricane season. As a barrier island, Highland Beach is in a MANDATORY EVACUATION ZONE when Hurricanes rated as a Category 2 or higher are expected to make landfall. If you have not done so already, please register for CodeRED through the Town’s website or by visiting Town Hall or the Police Department to receive emergency communications from the Town. Remember - HAVE A PLAN & BE PREPARED!
