Library Art Exhibit

The Friends of the Highland Beach Library invite you to the opening of “Reflections” Gilded Art by B. Corey Johnson. Meet the artist on October 5^th from 5 – 7 PM. Light refreshments will be served.

New Intracoastal Waterway Speed Limit

Please be advised that starting Sunday, October 1^st, the speed limit in the Town's section of the Intracoastal Waterway (a designated Manatee Protection Zone) will be reduced to 25 MPH. The Highland Beach Police Department will be actively enforcing the speed limit, so boat safely and responsibly!

Dune Viewing Hosting Event - Penthouse Towers

Penthouse Towers has extended an invite to Highland Beach oceanfront residents to come to their building on Wednesday, October 25^th at 9:00 AM for a Breakfast Meeting (coffee and bagels) to view their rejuvenated beach dunes. Lee Gottlieb of “Adopt A Dune” and Elaine Prentice, Property Manager of Penthouse Towers, will give an overview of what is required to remove dune exotics and allow the dunes to return to their natural habitat for very little money.

If you would like to attend, please email officepenthouse@comcast.net with your name and address or condominium building name. Please note, the event is limited to 50 people as parking is limited. Carpooling is recommended.

Hurricane Preparedness

If you have not done so already, please download a copy of the Town's Hurricane Preparation Manual and register for CodeRED through the Town’s website or by visiting Town Hall or the Police Department to receive emergency communications from the Town. Remember - HAVE A PLAN & BE PREPARED!

Municipal General Election Info

The Highland Beach General (Nonpartisan) Election will be held on Tuesday, March 19^th, 2024, which runs current with the Presidential Preference Primary Election (PPP) in the Library Community Room located at 3618 S Ocean Blvd. 

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link provides registered voters with three (3) different ways to cast their vote:

1. Vote By Mail (Absentee)
2. Vote Early (in person)
3. Vote on Election Day (in person)

In the coming weeks, the Town will be releasing a detailed informational pamphlet regarding the 2024 Municipal General Election via the General Information email list and the Town's website.

Town Board Vacancies

Board of Adjustment & Appeals – Two (2) vacancies for three-year terms and one (1) vacancy for an unexpired term ending September 21^st, 2024.

Planning Board - One (1) vacancy for an unexpired term ending September 2025.
