Library Concert
The Library will be hosting a Latin/Caribbean Jazz Quartet performance on Thursday, October 12th at 5:30 PM.
New Intracoastal Waterway Speed Limit
Please be advised that starting Sunday, October 1st, the speed limit in the Town's section of the Intracoastal Waterway (a designated Manatee Protection Zone) will be reduced to 25 MPH. The Highland Beach Police Department will be actively enforcing the speed limit, so boat safely and responsibly!
Dune Viewing Hosting Event - Penthouse Towers
Penthouse Towers has extended an invite to Highland Beach oceanfront residents to come to their building on Wednesday, October 25th at 9:00 AM for a Breakfast Meeting (coffee and bagels) to view their rejuvenated beach dunes. Lee Gottlieb of “Adopt A Dune” and Elaine Prentice, Property Manager of Penthouse Towers, will give an overview of what is required to remove dune exotics and allow the dunes to return to their natural habitat for very little money.
If you would like to attend, please email officepenthouse@comcast.net with your name and address or condominium building name. Please note, the event is limited to 50 people as parking is limited. Carpooling is recommended.
Hurricane Preparedness
If you have not done so already, please download a copy of the Town's Hurricane Preparation Manual and register for CodeRED through the Town’s website or by visiting Town Hall or the Police Department to receive emergency communications from the Town. Remember - HAVE A PLAN & BE PREPARED!
Municipal General Election Info
The Highland Beach General (Nonpartisan) Election will be held on Tuesday, March 19th, 2024, which runs current with the Presidential Preference Primary Election (PPP) in the Library Community Room located at 3618 S Ocean Blvd.
Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link provides registered voters with three (3) different ways to cast their vote:
- Vote By Mail (Absentee)
- Vote Early (in person)
- Vote on Election Day (in person)
Town Board Vacancies
Board of Adjustment & Appeals – Two (2) vacancies for three-year terms and one (1) vacancy for an unexpired term ending September 2024.
Planning Board - One (1) vacancy for an unexpired term ending September 2025.
