Milani Park Public Meeting 2-1-24

Palm Beach County will be holding a public meeting in the Town Library Community Room on February 1^st at 6 PM to discuss the development of Milani Park and address any questions or concerns Town residents may have. The Town Commission strongly encourages residents to attend this meeting and participate in the dialogue. Overflow parking will be available at St. Lucy Catholic Church and Town staff is currently working to provide transportation from the overflow lot for those with accessibility needs.

Town Hall CLOSED 1-15-24

Please be advised that the Town Hall Complex, including the Library, Post Office, Building Department, and all Administrative Offices will be CLOSED on Monday, January 15^th, in observance of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Garbage and recycling collection will not be impacted.

NRPAB Event at Penthouse Towers

Penthouse Towers will be hosting a Natural Resources Preservation Advisory Board open house presentation regarding Beach Dune Rejuvenation on January 17^th at 3 PM. If you would like to attend this event, please confirm your attendance by emailing officepenthouse@comcast.net (please give your name and building name). Parking will be limited and carpooling would be appreciated!

Referendum Questions

After extensive and thoughtful deliberation, the Town Commission has presented three referendum questions to residents for the 2024 Municipal General Election:

1. Financing a Sanitary Sewer Lining Rehabilitation Project

2. Raising the Current Funding Limitation

3. Ability to Designate Election Canvassing Duties to Palm Beach County

Municipal General Election Info

The Highland Beach General (Nonpartisan) Election will be held on Tuesday, March 19^th, 2024, which runs current with the Presidential Preference Primary Election (PPP) in the Library Community Room located at 3618 S Ocean Blvd. 

Palm Beach County Supervisor of Elections Wendy Sartory Link provides registered voters with three (3) different ways to cast their vote:

1. Vote By Mail (Absentee)
2. Vote Early (in person)
3. Vote on Election Day (in person)

Town Board Vacancies

Board of Adjustment & Appeals - One (1) vacancy for an unexpired term ending September 2024 and one (1) upcoming vacancy for a three-year term.

Financial Advisory Board - One (1) vacancy for an unexpired term ending April 2024.

Natural Resources Preservation Advisory Board - Upcoming vacancies for three-year terms.
