SR-A1A FDOT Project Update

Beginning Wednesday, July 10^th, the southbound lane of SR-A1A from south of Linton Boulevard to 2565 S. Ocean Boulevard will have occasional closures between 7 AM and 6 PM. This is to allow construction vehicles to access the swale areas between the FDOT right-of-way line and the existing roadway to install French Drains. Work will proceed from the north end of the project limits and head south. Flaggers and portable traffic signals will direct traffic as needed. Once the French Drain installation along the west side of the road is completed, the contractor will move to the northbound lanes to perform the French Drain installation along the east side of the roadway. Access to driveways and businesses will be maintained. Additionally, the contractor will be installing silt fences and carrying out tree protection and pruning along the shoulder throughout the project limits during this time.
